This is not rocket science, I promise. But, keep in mind that your hair won’t grow overnight. Here are some tips on how to grow it faster and thicker than usual. Trust me, IT WORKS! Since going natural and having big chopped my hair, I came up with a regimen that would help my hair get longer than it should by itself and I had amazing results!
“Hair typically only grows about a quarter of an inch, to a half an inch max, a month, And that’s only if it is super-healthy and doesn’t have a ton of split ends.”
So, Cupcakes, fasten your seatbelts! Relaxed or natural, this is for you! Receding hairline or bald edges, bring them back from exile! I make a natural oil treatment that I apply on a daily basis. I’m sure you’ve heard of the benefits of essential oils for hair growth and if you haven’t, allow me. I only make use of 3 of them: Rosemary Oil, Peppermint Oil, Castor Oil.
• Simply mix in a 2 oz. spray bottle or the big ones that you can find at dollar tree, ¾ filled with water, few drops of rosemary oil, few drops of castor oil and more drops of peppermint oil than the others.
“Essential oils are really strong. Therefore, I would NOT recommend applying them directly to your scalp without diluting them in water or any carrier oil. They can easily burn the skin which could result in serious damage.”
• Shake the bottle vigorously (Don’t break it though or throw it) so the oils can mix well with the water before you apply (it only lasts a few seconds). If you want it well distributed, separate your hair in sections.
“Rosemary oil prevents baldness and treats dry scalp.”
“Peppermint oil is known to stimulate blood flow to the scalp and nutrients to the hair follicles”
• After spraying your hair (mostly scalp), massage it for at least 2 to 5 minutes. BRING YOUR SCALP TO LIFE! Do this EVERY night or morning for great results!
“The blood flow delivers the necessary nutrients your hair needs for optimal growth and quality, adding to the magic of the peppermint oil.”
“Castor oil strengthens the roots of your hair and helps on nourishing the scalp”
As we all know, hair growth also depends on a good diet and drinking a lot of water. You can use protective styles to retain length. Trim your ends every 5 months. We don’t want the split ends to get in the way of our hair’s greatness. We don’t need that kind of negativity in our lives!
THE DAY BEFORE WASH DAY
• In a bowl, mix 1 or 2 eggs, depending on how big your hair is, with few drops of castor oil and half an avocado. Top that with a deep conditioner (I use Shea Moisture). Beat it properly and apply to your hair. Massage it thoroughly. Let it sit for the night. Wash your hair the next day and style as usual.
Keep in mind that deep conditioners are your best friends. A good, well-formulated deep conditioner will moisturize and soften your hair and keep it from being damaged in order for it to reach its full potential. I recommend using products that are sulfate-free, silicone-free and completely natural (for example, Shea Moisture)
Follow this remedy once a week or every time you wash your hair.
If you follow my instructions, I’d like to hear about your results. Let me know how that worked out for you.
Long Live Healthy Hair!
